With so much to do in Hollywood, it’s hard to know where to start your visit to Tinseltown. Check out some of our travel tips for making the most of your visit to the City of Stars.

  1. Bring comfortable footwear. Sometimes the best of Hollywood can only be seen on foot. Make sure to pack comfortable shoes for a hike up to the Hollywood Sign or to stroll down the length of Hollywood Boulevard.

  2. Be ready for sunshine. There’s rarely a rainy day in Hollywood, so make sure you pack sunscreen, sunglasses, or a hat to protect yourself as you traverse the city.

  3. Check walkoffame.com. Want to bring home a celebrity sighting story for your friends? There’s no better way to see and hear from celebrities than by attending a Walk of Fame ceremony right on Hollywood Boulevard. The ceremonies are free and open to the public. New ceremonies are announced two weeks prior to the star unveiling.

  4. Come hungry. With some of the best restaurants in the world, the Hollywood food scene has something for everyone. From 100-year -old Hollywood staple Musso & Frank to new cultural dining experiences like Japan House, there’s plenty to taste in Hollywood.

  5. Brush up on your Hollywood history. With famous film locations and renowned all over, you’ll want to be familiar with Hollywood’s golden age when planning your trip to get the most out of the Hollywood experience.
